Working in my field as a Massage Therapist for over 10 years and practicing The Feldenkrais Method for 6 years, I began to increase my understanding of Neuroplasticity and Somatics.

​

 Over the years of studying and practicing The Feldenkrais Method - a sensation-based movement practice, I discovered several sensory based wellness and fitness therapies. These unique classes support healing on every level for my client base which comes from a diverse socioeconomic background. 

​

During my years of experiencing and learning, I've optimized and adapted my skills learned from many methods of

healing:

  •  hands on - Physiotherapist, Chiropractors, Physical Therapy

  • Neuroplasticity principles - reorganizing the brain and body function

  • Qoya techniques - expanding our capacity to enjoy being in our bodies through feminine movement

  •  Psychotherapy Dance Movement - Organic self expression movement benefits both physical and mental health

  • Gyrokinesis techniques - opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences

Sports Enthusiast should KNOW that Deep Tissue ALONE will not support desired results of fluidity to optimize and enhance performance. The elements of this massage is designed and tailored to support a good fitness regiment. It enhances an individual's recovery or rehabilitation of an injury or overuse during workout or lifestyle discomforts.  This Sports Massage blends Neuromuscular, Feldenkrais and Muscle Energy techniques with elements of Swedish and Deep Tissue massage tailor to support your fitness regiment.

Somatic Dance Therapy

The Femme! Experience is a fusion of sensual movement, dance, meditation, creative visualization and celebration of the feminine form.

 

Femme! as designed, creates sacred, safe spaces for women to explore their femininity; to move in sensual ways, to explore and release emotions, to alter or release beliefs about themselves and to unapologetically love their bodies!

Femme! as a lifestyle inspires a woman to recognize the importance of self care thru dance and expression.

​

Classes are offered weekly throughout Delaware, Philadelphia & Maryland.  

Dance in Joy® is based on the science of Neuroplasticity which is the ability of the brain and the nervous system to change structurally and functionally. 

 

The movements are playful and simple to do at home - designed to be performed seated in a chair. Almost anyone can do them, regardless of most physical conditions. Students needing special attention; balance, agility, neuropathy etc... This class shows quick results with continued class participation. 

 

Dance In Joy® increases functional awareness. 

Self healing through dance - Somatic Dance Therapy was developed for the mature woman needing a gentle self-healing movement class to improve emotional, cognitive and postural habits. By making connections - sensing and recreating stratigies thru dance, you stimulating the nervous system to refine and heighten awareness.

 

This bare foot class increase stability and range of motion. Neuroplasticity dance techniques supported by slow gentle organic movements are choreographed to optimize sensation.

 

Somatic Dance integrates unique techniques of Feldenkrais, Qoya, Tia Chi and Gyrokinesis methods.

ATM & Dance In Joy

The Feldenkrais Method is based on principles of physics, biomechanics and an empirical understanding of learning and human development.

​

Awareness Through Movement®.

Consists of verbally directed movement sequences presented primarily to groups. There are several hundred hours of Awareness Through Movement® lessons.

 

Each lesson is usually 45 minutes and organized around a particular function.

The Feldenkrais Method® for seniors can help bring about significant improvements in the senior population’s balance, flexibility, confidence and comfort.

​

Feldenkrais exercises are unlike any other form of exercise. Instead of stretching or using muscular effort, Feldenkrais exercises stimulate the brain with an ingenious blend of gentle movement and guided attention to bring about improvements in the body. Feldenkrais exercises are ideally suited to meet the needs of the seniors population.

Awareness Through Movement®

and Dance In Joy® increases functional awareness.

​

This 50 min seated class joins both methods of neuroplasticity. Each 25 min class offers it's own seperate benefits. When our ability to move comfortably is compromised, our movement repertoire can become limited, which has a negative impact on all daily activities and functions.

 

With reduced mobility, older adults may begin to feel less confident, less socially engaged, and experience problems with reduced circulation, poor balance, joint pain, muscular stiffness, and have difficulty relaxing. Students needing special attention dramatically improve with continued class participation.
